Comfort Journal

University students face copious amounts of daily stress and struggle to determine ways to overcome this.

We proposed an app called ‘Comfort Journal’ that enables users to journal and document their daily emotions and thoughts with the option of contacting professional counsellors.

Research Questions:

  1. When do students primarily require phone counselling?  

  2. Do students currently find phone counselling beneficial?

  3. How do students approach phone counselling? (Are they open and willing to use it?

  4. How can we maximise the usefulness of phone counselling for students?

  5. Do students feel they have a safe space in which they can talk to a counsellor via a phone?

  6. How can we speedily get the person in crisis on the phone and into alternative treatment so that the next person can be helped?
